busy! busy! busy! | wichita photography

It's been crazy busy around here lately, between work and the girls finishing up school, I just can't seem to find enough time in the day. I'm finally off to enjoy some family time, but I'll be back in the office Tuesday. Here's some sisterly love from the photo shoot I did with the girls last weekend. I love my girls...

happy weekend | wichita pictures

I know... I know... I've been rather absent around here lately. I've been working on updating my website, making some business changes and looking at different options for my clients. I want to offer what it is that you want, be it digital files (top request) matted photos or whatever your little hearts desire. Stay tuned for some specials coming up as I get to know my new city (it's only been a year and I haven't gotten to explore too much so that makes it still new... right?) and all my new wonderful clients. Have a great holiday weekend and check back Tuesday for all the newness and because I can't post without a photo here's a flower... if someone could kindly tell me what it is that would be great! It grows on a bushy plant that sprang up in our yard this spring and smells divine, the flower not the plant... although I don't think I've smelled the plant anyways I digress, we have another one that produces white flowers that are just as lovely.

meet momo | Wichita's photographer

After losing Sophie over a year ago we knew that we would eventually get another dog we just didn't know when or how he would come to us. We have since fostered a couple of dogs that didn't fit into our family for one reason or another and had come to the conclusion that we would have to get a puppy to get exactly what we wanted. Not wanting to go through the puppy stage and really wanting to provide a home for a dog that needed one I was still hoping that we would find the perfect dog for us and finally we have. This is Momo Inu which translates to "peach dog" in Japanese, he is a white husky, not pure white as his coat has a hint of peach to it, thus his new name, and he is about 3 years old. We recently found him through the Siberian Husky Rescue and finally picked him up this weekend. He is a beautiful dog and very sweet although he is a bit anxious and has lost weight recently because of this, we are working on getting some more weight on him before he gets neutered. He is very smart, already responding to his name and the training that we are beginning. Momo loves to run and took me, yeah he took me, out for a jog this morning so I now have a running mate! All in all everyone is pleased with the new addition and Bailey loves having a friend to play with although she isn't loving all the "male" attention and hopefully this will get better once he is neutered. Welcome to the family Momo we look forward to many long and happy years with you.
